Research program

The project OncoWorkstation enfolds several newly methods and technologies.

• Formalization and standardization of the assembly of oncological trial protocols and therapy flow sheets
• Standardization of terms used in protocols
• Use of new software technologies for the development of web-based software with distributed and synchronized data storage (See Design)
• Establishment of a full quality management cycle for the acquisition of the content of the oncological trial protocols of the Deutsche Krebshilfe (German Cancer Aid)

The software tool OncoWorkstation is being conducted within the context of subproject 2 "Telematics and Computer-based Quality Management in a Communication Network" at the Institute for Medical Informatics, Statistics and Epidemiology (IMISE), University of Leipzig. This subproject is sponsored by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) as part of the Malignant Lymphoma Competence Network.
