Master's and Doctoral Theses

We supervise master's and doctoral theses in the following areas:

• the development and implementation of software-tools supporting the development, testing and evaluation of ontologies
• the development of domain-specific ontologies for various
application areas
• research into the basic principles of formal ontology.

Due to the multidisciplinary and cross-institutional orientation of the Onto-Med research group, master's and doctoral theses from the following institutes can be supervised:

• Institute for Medical Informatics, Statistics and Epidemiology (IMISE)
• Insitute for Computer Science (IfI), Department of Formal Concepts
